From the Library: Victorian Miscellany

Today on thap gump, please join us for a day of music from the Victorian and Edwardian eras. The programme will include popular songs and ballads familiar to those of us who frequent the music-halls.

In addition we shall be enjoying some of the marvellous musical confections of Sir Arthus Sullivan and Mr Lionel Monckton; and, from time to time, we shall regale you with the sounds of the latest in Mechanical Instrumentation, including the famous Carousel Steam-Organ. We will also hear some music from the Band-stand at the Gardens of the Crystal Palace.

We guarantee that a most enjoyable time is to be had by all.
Today's programme is presented by Elrik Merlin and produced by thap gump in conjunction with our friends at the Alexandrian Free Library Consortium of Second Life. You can listen to the programme in-world now at http://main.radioriel.org, or simply click here to start your player, if your browser is configured to do so.
